Even Memebers of Swiftboat Veteran Squad Regret Kerry Criticism
Just as John McCain condemns the Swiftbost Veterans' current PR swindle, a signee to their charter is now publicly taking back his support. Lieutenant Commander George Elliott claims he had made a "terrible mistake" in signing the an affadavit declaring Kerry unfit for receiving the Silver Star. ''It was a terrible mistake probably for me to sign the affidavit with those words. I'm the one in trouble here ... " It seems he had been pressured into signing on. ''That's no excuse ... I knew it was wrong . . . In a hurry I signed it and faxed it back. That was a mistake ... It makes me look kind of silly, to be perfectly honest."

He's at it Again - McCain Condemns Bushies' Choice of Election Tactics
In a replay of the 2000 election, the Bush team turns to a tactic that effectively drove wild-card senator John McCain to defeat during the Republican primary race - attacking its opponent's Vietnam record. In a PR campaign to assassinate the character of John Kerry while promoting the book "Unfit for Command," co-written by the Democratic candidate's 30+ year arch-nemisis John O'Neil, a scathing TV spot was produced by GOP firm Steven Reed Curio & Potholm. Kerry campaign HQ requested stations not run the ad since it makes claims by people who never even served with Kerry. Seantor McCain who is campaigning for the Repoublican ticket but continues to abstain from going after Kerry, defends his party's opponent, calling the ad "dishonest and dishonorable ... I think the Bush campaign should specifically condemn the ad." Seeing the reprots today regarding the job numbers for the last month of only 32,000, the unemployment rate inching down hardly .1%, and at least two major battles going on currently in Iraq, one with Al Sadr Shii'a and another with the Sunni Nationalists, its plain enough to see with the election barely three months away the current administration will desperately take whatever help they can get.

Now RIAA Wants to Control What You See
"Last week I went to a Black Eyed Peas concert ... It was a DNC event sponsored by the RIAA, and at the doors, big signs were posted everywhere: 'Absolutely No Cameras' ... The result: Chaos in the line, as people were sent home after failing cell phone inspection ... There’s controlling, and then there’s obsessive-compulsive."

Lifelong Registered Republicans Will Vote Kerry this Election
"Why?" you ask. Well, if it's not already obvious, here is what some residents in the 'heartland' have been saying:
"He's been a world-class polarizer. I don't know if I can stomach four more years with him as president. He misled us into the war in Iraq and has mismanaged everything since."
"I just have a gut feeling that Kerry can be trusted to make the right courageous decisions and will make a good president. He showed that with his heroism in Vietnam."
"(Bush is) supposed to be a conservative and yet he's run up the biggest federal deficit in history. One thing that really turned me (away from Bush) as a lifelong Catholic ... was to see Bush go to the Vatican and try to get the pope to come down hard on Kerry for his stand on abortion. That is absolutely appalling."
"I've always voted Republican and my folks will just kill me if they find out I'm switching to Kerry this year ... but I am just frustrated with the way Bush has mishandled everything. All the untruths."

And Don't Call Him W
"THE W hotel chain is aggressively laying claim to the letter W, no matter what President Bush's nickname is. The group behind the chain, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., has fired off legal letters to two political merchandisers, demanding they remove the letter W — as in George W. Bush — from "apparel and accessories" they are selling."

Henri-Cartier Bresson C'est Mort
"Henri Cartier-Bresson, whose instantly recognisable images graced magazines and newspapers around the world, has died aged 96. The shy, intense Frenchman, regarded as the founding father of photo-journalism, died on Monday at Isle sur la Sorgue, in the south of France, according to French media reports. Cartier-Bresson, founder of Magnum, one of the world's most influential and enduring photo-agencies, was born in 1908 in Chanteloupe, France ... Initially an art student in Paris in the late1920s, he abandoned his avant-set to spend a year in the African bush as a hunter. On his return in 1931, illness forced him into convalescence in Marseilles where he purchased a Leica camera, thus starting the career of arguably one of the 20th century's greatest photographers."

Former Liberian President Granted Refuge to Al Qaeda
"The officials and investigators also painted a picture of Liberia under Taylor as a haven for Al Qaeda, and raised new questions about why the United States waited so long to support Taylor's removal and continues to refrain from using its influence to bring him before a UN war crimes tribunal."
